Our Homes
Alegria Community Living operates nine beautiful homes – six in Alameda County and three in Contra Costa County. Most homes have a “sister house” located just a short distance away.
Services and Supports
Alegria believes in supporting the “whole person” and in offering opportunities that inspire growth for each individual. The services in our homes are tailored to support each individual’s social, behavioral, and emotional needs.
Counseling Services
Alegria provides individual, family, and group therapy services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families. Our services are designed to help support individuals towards their personal goals, promote growth, and encourage independence.
Training
Our qualified staff and consultants provide training related to the care and support of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Trainings include (but are not limited to):
- Medication Management
- Common Health Issues Typical of Adults with I/DD
- Dysphagia and Specialized Dietary Needs
- MANDT System®
- First Aid/AED/CPR – Adult, Child, & Infant
- Mental Health Issues for Individuals with I/DD
